About Us

The Salvation Schools (Nding-Loh and Fan-Loh)

Barkin Ladi Local Government Area of Plateau State has suffered repeated ethno-religious attacks over the years. The Berom people, who form the majority of the population and are predominantly Christian, have endured the loss of lives, destruction of homes and farmlands, and constant fear.

In 2008, Nding-Loh village was attacked; the village chief and thirteen others were killed. In December 2015, another wave of violence claimed more lives, including the PTA Chairman of our schools, and destroyed properties. These tragic events, and the continued hardship faced by orphans, widows, and displaced families, became the catalyst for the founding of The Salvation Nursery, Primary and Secondary Schools.

The schools stand as a response of faith and hope, a commitment to raise a generation of children who will not be defined by the trauma of the past, but transformed through education rooted in the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Since our founding, we have remained committed to the belief that every child deserves the chance to learn, grow in character, and build a meaningful future, whatever their past has held. Through the years, despite many challenges, we have trusted in God’s provision and stayed true to this calling.

We are grateful to every parent, pupil, student, teacher, staff member, and community member who has walked this journey with us. Our commitment remains the same: to provide not just education, but hope, direction, and a foundation for a purposeful life, guided by Christian principles. To God be the glory, honour, and praise forever.

Mission Statement

To provide every child with access to quality education at minimal cost — regardless of background or circumstance — while nurturing their spiritual, moral and intellectual growth. We believe that investing in a child’s education is an investment in the future of our communities.

Our Core Values

We are determined in our approach to learning, creative in our thinking, and bold in our ambitions. Ours is a culture that is modern, relevant, and shaped by the belief that every student can build a brighter future.

Our Educational Philosophy

We believe education should go beyond examination results. Through a broad Nigerian curriculum delivered in a supportive learning environment, we help pupils grow academically, socially and morally, discovering their potential and their responsibility to others.

Our Commitment to the Community

From the beginning, we have worked to remove the barriers, financial and otherwise, that keep children in our community out of school. Free and low-cost education remains central to what we do, because we believe every child deserves the opportunity, not just the ones who can afford it.

Our Vision for Every Child

We want every learner to graduate with more than academic knowledge — with the confidence and character to contribute meaningfully to their community and the wider world.

Our goal is simple: to educate, nurture and empower the next generation.
