Our Story
The story of The Salvation Schools is rooted in pain, faith, and a deep desire to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children and families in our communities.
In 2008, the village of Nding-Loh was attacked; the village chief and thirteen others were killed. This tragedy, and the ongoing insecurity it left behind, became the driving concern behind establishing The Salvation Schools in 2010, to give children, especially orphans and the underprivileged, the opportunity to learn, heal, and build a better future through quality, Christ-centred education.
The violence did not end there. In December 2015, further attacks struck our communities, claiming more lives, including the Chairman of our schools’ own Parents Teachers Association, and destroying properties. Even so, we remained committed to the work already begun.
What started as a response to deep pain and educational need has grown into schools serving hundreds of pupils and students, supported by a dedicated team of staff, management, and a Board of Governors.
Today, we remain committed to the purpose for which the schools were established: providing education that transforms lives, restores hope, and contributes to the healing and development of our communities.
